THE BEST PLACE IN THE WORLD

Цели:

Развивающий аспект – развитие самостоятельности, креативности, воображения, способности осуществлять продуктивные речевые действия. Развивать способности к групповому общению. Развивать познавательные интересы учащихся.

Учебный аспект– Совершенствовать речевые навыки. совершенствование навыков монологической и диалогической речи, а также навыков чтения по теме “New York”

Воспитательный аспект – формирование потребности и способности понимать чужую точку зрения, выражать своё мнение, воспитание уважение к культурным ценностям страны изучаемого языка. Патриотическое воспитание на уроке

Воспитывать самостоятельность, инициативность, толерантность, поддерживать интерес к стране изучаемого языка

Место уроков в цикле – урок продолжает тему ‘The best place in the world’

Аспекты языка:

лексика – названия достопримечательностей;

грамматика – сослагательное наклонение, придаточные предложения условия.

Виды речевой деятельности: чтение, говорение, письмо, аудирование.

Ход урока

1. Организационный момент. Введение в тему урока.

Т: Hello , boys and girls! We are going to practice speaking on the topic ‘The best place in the world’ today. We’ll have а virtual excursion on our native town and at the end of the lesson we’ll get acquainted with another сity, where lots of people all over the world would like to live in. You’ll recognize it immediately as soon as you see its photos.

2. Речевая зарядка. Is Cheboksary your native town? How long have you been living here? Do you like it? What do you like here most of all? Are you proud of it? Why? Why not? Would you like to live somewhere else in the world? Where would you like to live? Do you think Cheboksary is the best place in the world? Is it worth seeing? What places of interest would you show the tourists?

First, I’d like to make sure how well you know our native city yourselves. You‘ll see the pictures of Cheboksary and your task is to match them with their names.

5) Cheboksary is famous not only for different cites but also for people.

We’ll watch a video about unusual people of our city. You are supposed to understand what Martin says about swimming in icy water, what the woman getting out of the water reply about her health, yow old is the oldest swimmer

7) The next task for you today is to guess what city we are going to speak next. The group which gives the correct answer first gets 1 point. Now watch the slides, enjoy the song by Sting and guess.

What are your impressions of NY? Isn’t it magnificent? Who has ever been there? Would you like to live there? At least for a while? What do you know about NY?

9. Open your books at page 42. Read the questions about NY and in groups choose the correct answers. Terrific.
