«Рождество в Великобритании»-6 класс.

Задачи

Обучающие:

Организовать повторение лексического и страноведческого материала по данной теме.

Учить учащихся правильно строить предложения на английском языке по теме, организовать практику устной речи на английском языке.

Познакомить учащихся с некоторыми традициями и обычаями празднования Рождества в Великобритании.

Способствовать формированию у учащихся навыков социолингвистической и лингвострановедческой компетенций.

Развивающие:

Развивать творческую фантазию, познавательный интерес, инициативу в осуществлении иноязычной речевой деятельности.

Развивать межпредметную связь с музыкой.

Воспитательные:

Воспитывать у учащихся чувство прекрасного и уважение к культуре и традициям других народов.

Воспитывать чувство взаимной ответственности, прививать навыки работы в коллективе.

Ход урока.

I. Good morning, dear boys and girls. Sit down. I’m glad to see you. We start our lesson, which is connected with a beautiful holiday, the most popular holiday in Great Britain. This holiday is the favourite holiday of all English children and grown-up persons. We will speak and read about Christmas, sing songs, play games. I hope you’ll enjoy our English lesson and will work hard today.

Let’s start our lesson. But first of all, I want you to listen to a nice poem. Look at the screen and listen to my reading.

Now repeat after me line by line. Mind the sound {æ}. Reproduce the poem correctly.

Who wants to read?

II. We’ll speak about Christmas. Let’s fresh up the new words. Open your books.Page130.Ex.1.

III. Речевая зарядка.

Christmas is the favourite holiday of all English children and grown-ups. And now children, answer my questions, please. I hope that you know much about Christmas.

When do Englishmen celebrate Christmas?

What do English people do before Christmas?

(People buy lots of presents, Christmas cards, Christmas trees. Englishmen decorate Christmas trees with colourful lights, glass toys, balls and bells. People decorate their houses with green leaves, tied with ribbons.)

What do children hang on their beds and over fire-places? Why? What do children usually do on Christmas?

(They hang stockings. They want to get presents. Children hope that Santa Claus will fill them with toys and sweets. They play games, eat a lot of tasty things).

What is the traditional Christmas dinner?

(The traditional Christmas dinner is roast turkey with vegetables and Christmas pudding.)

And now listen to me. When the pudding is hot, people put 5 penny pieces in it, and sometimes a little silver horseshoe, a button, and a ring. If you find a button, in your piece of pudding, you will be rich; a horseshoe means happiness and good luck, a ring-marriage.

IV. Oh, I have forgotten. I have a letter for you. Who wrote it?

Oh, do you recognize this old man? Who is this? A really Santa-Claus!

-Hello, boys and girls. How are you? What is your name? How old are you?

-Today is Christmas. It is the day of songs, games and presents.

Santa-Claus, our children are clever, brave, but they should be strong and healthy.

V. Let’s have a rest. Stand up and repeat after me.

Touch your shoulders,

Touch your nose,

Touch your ears,

Touch your toes,

Hands up,

Turn around

Hands down

Sit down.

Santa-Claus, sit down too.

VI. Dear friends, our Santa-Claus visited a lot of countries. Let’s find these countries.

Where has he been? Find them and mark out.

And now boys and girls, our Santa-Claus wants you to answer his question.

And now the conclusion. Look at the screen. Generally speaking there are symbols of Christmas. You should find the odd word. In each group there is a word, which doesn’t go with others.

So it’s time to finish our work. You worked very well today, your marks…It’s holiday today and that’s why your marks is better.
