Тема: Урок Popular British Sports and Games

Тип: комбинированный (многоцелевой).

Главная цель урока: формирование лексико-грамматических навыков, развитие умений аудирования, монологической и диалогической речи, частично-поискового чтения.

Развивающий компонент цели урока: развитие языковых, интеллектуальных и познавательных способностей учащихся; готовности к коммуникации.

Образовательный компонент цели урока: расширение лингвистического кругозора, развитие эрудиции и языковой догадки, знакомство с аутентичным материалом, развитие способности анализировать, выделять главное.

Воспитательный компонент цели урока: создание условий для поддержания интереса к изучению иностранного языка и формированию познавательной активности учащихся, приобщение к культуре англо-говорящих стран.

Практический компонент цели урока: практическое использование новых лексических единиц и грамматических навыков в речи для обеспечения коммуникативных потребностей учащихся, совершенствование фонетических навыков на базе фонетических упражнений.

The bell has rung. Stand up, boys and girls! Good morning, students! I’m glad to see you. Sit down. How are you today? ( T. asks every student throwing a ball to him/her) Who`s absent today?

Now I would like you to look at the board on your right, you can see a tongue twister. Look through and say what sounds are practised here.

Whether we like it or not.

Ok, we don`t have these sounds in Russian language, that`s why we should pay more attention to them. Look, listen and repeat after me line by line. (One or two students might read them after all) And who can translate this into Russian?

Very good, by the way, what the weather is like today?

(Students: It`s warm, sunny, etc) What can you do outside when the weather is warm?

(Students: go to the park, ride a bike, play football, rollerblade, etc.)

Very good. What sports and games do you know? (Students give some possible answers) Ok, last lesson we talked about health. I think you have already guessed that today we are going to talk about sports and games. Today we are going to do a lot of work. I hope you are ready. And for the most difficult task you`ll be able to get points. Let`s start!

Firstly, I would like to attract your attention by showing you some more types of sport. Look at the interactive board. (Students watch the Power Point presentation)

1. Look, listen and repeat after me. (each word twice)

2. (T. asks one student to hand out the sheets of paper with these words and transcriptions) Let`s read the words in a turn and translate them into Russian in the written form)

3. Ok. Very good. And now let`s play a game “Snow ball”. Please, stand up, come out, form a circle. (A student has to say one type of sport, the student standing next to him must say the previous word and add his own. The game continues while all the words will be named)

Now on the board you can see three verbs: play, go and do. I`ll show you the first line…(T. puts some pictures of sports on the board)

I would like you to work in groups and complete these columns with the sports picture cards following the example on the board. (T. puts the sports picture cards on the desk next to the board. Three students work at the board) Put the correct pictures under the corresponding verb.

Have you finished? Do you agree? Ok, now have a look at the answers. (interactive board) So who can say the rule?

On the interactive board you can see the rule.

We use play with ball sports.

Example: I play football with my friends in summer.

We use go with sports ending in –ing

Example: She goes swimming twice a week.

We use do with other sports and individual sports.

Example: They do karate every day.

* But there are some exceptions: do fencing

Study carefully the rule. If you have no questions, do some practice.

(But if the students do have questions, T. explains the rule in Russian)

(T. hands out to the students the sheets of paper with the following exercise and the same grammar table to stick in every student`s copybook to the students.)

Complete the sentences with the correct form of do, play or go.

Use the present simple.

Firstly, compare your answers in pairs. Ok. Let`s check. Read the sentences one by one. If you hear a mistake, clap your hands.

In order to check how well you understand it, I would like to do a minute-test on line.

Look at the interactive board. Choose the correct answer. (The students make a choice all together) You can see the results at once.

Are you tired? Let`s do some exercises. You know this funny song very well. Now for two minutes forget about everything, just dance and sing. “If you are happy and you know it, clap your hands…” (on the interactive board the students can see a video with the subtitles)

Very good. Sit down, please. Let`s go back to our lesson.
